She is a reporter for the Excalibur, and enjoys bowling. Next Noreen plans to go to big X and work on a degree for Social Work. JAMES HENRY MacNEIL Jim graduated from St Michael's in Glace Bay. He enjoys good music and proved this by being part-time ac- companist for our Glee Club. Jim plans to be a teacher. fe- CYRIL DARRYL MaCGILLIVARY RSM WILLIAM YOUNG MacDONALD I'm from Irish Vale boy! Willie proudly says. He is a former student of Johnstown Academy, and while at J unior, the president of the S.P.A, Bill plans to get aJunior Edu- cation degree from St. F.X. MARY KATHERN MacLEOI2 Known as Kae to her friends she hails from Dominion and is a product of MacDonald High. She is a strong Liberal preacher, and hopes one day to be Prime Minister. Her favorite subject is French? 'Thus she often says French again ! Darby is a graduate of St. M1chael's Glace Bay. He is an excellent hockey player, a valuable member on our Junior team. Since he has a dry wit, he should be an in- teresting teacher. Next year he will attend St. F.X. FRANK JOSEPH DOUCETTE Frank arrived on the campus in '63 from East Bay. He had been a graduate of Mac- Cormick School in that area. Frank enjoys bowling and asking What's new today? Next year 'he will be at St. F.X. MARY COLLEEN MacDONALD Another New Waterford pro- duct, Colleen came from Mount Carmel High. An avid bowler, she tried never to miss a week at the Bol-Mor. She comes from Holy Angels High and while at X.C. she did a lot of decorating for the Drama Club. Irene can t wait to begin teaching 'THOMAS ARTHUR SHARPE Sparky comes to us from Reserve and is a graduate of St. Michae1's. His main enjoy- ment at the college was playing Varsity Hockey. She enjoys singing very much, and thus took an active part in the Glee Club and the Choir. She plans to get a degree from St. F.X. and then teach. PETER BERNARD MOMBOURQUETTE An Academy graduate, Peter is the Janitor around the college. He takes an interest in all college activities, parti- cularly hockey and bowling. Pete hopes to get a Commerce Degree from St. F.X. CHARLES LEONARD MacDONALD CHARLES JAMES NEARING Charlie is a Dominion product, a former student of Mac- Donald High. At X.C. he liked to bowl, and keep his eye on a girl from the Science Building. His future is to be a French Professeur!!! MARY MARGARET CAMERON A graduate of St. Michael's, River Ryan, Mary M. takes an active part in bowling. As captain in the girls bowling team, she managed to reach second with her colleagues. Following a stay at the Mount, she will join the teaching ranks. A graduate of St. Michael's Hig in Glace Bay, Baker came to X.C. in the fall of '63, He enjoys playing hockey and teasing the girls. Next year will see Baker at St. F.X. for a B.A. He plans tO teach when he is finished. WAYNE MALCOLM LOI-INES The new Social Accent Club at X.C. owes a great deal to Wayne. While here he worked on the new Club and helped its coming success. He took part in the play Char1ie's Aunt and was our first man to be crowned Mr, Sno - Man- Future: 77? VALERIE THERESA Mac1NTYRE , A graduate of St. Michael s, Valerie was a weekly bowler and a member of the Drama Club. In bowling she had the season's high triple. Next year she will be at the Mount and then she will proceed on to teaching. She was secretary ofthe Student Union, in the Glee Club, and in the Social Accent Club. Next year Our Sno-Ball queen will be at big X. She hopes to be a Social Worker. JAMES GREGORY MORRISON Jimmy attended St. Michael's before coming to X.C. Here he was on the Board of Directors for the Co-Op and took an active part in bowling and hockey. She is a former student of Holy Redeemer and' plans to finish her education by getting a Jr. Education diploma from St. F.X. GUY WALTER MORTIMER A Sydney Academy student, Guy came to our college in the fall of '64, He en'o s bowlin J Y gf very much and eating dinner with ?. He plans on getting his B.A. degree from St. F.X. RICHARD BAGNELL Big Rich is another stu- dent from the famous Academy. He will be re- membered at X.C. for his fine Basketball playing. While here he was the Captain of the Varsity Basketball team, and Chairman of the Athletic Com- mittee. Future: 7? ERIC CHARLES BRIGGS Ike is a graduate of St. Michael's in the big town of Glace Bay. With his Com- merce Degree, he hopes he can Make a million . Good Luck. JANICE ISABELLA YOUNG In the fall of '63 Janice came to X.C. from Holy Redeemer High. Janice is a hard worker and one of our quiet members. For outside activi- ties she likes evading the M.A.S. When her education is complete, Janice plans to be a teacher. -19 BRIAN MICHAEL GALLIVAN Brian enjoys dancing very much and tried never to miss a social. He came from Sydney Academy and at X.C. he was on the Co-Op Board of Directors. He hopes to be a University Prof. some day. MARY PATRICIA HALL Mary better known as Masie to her friends, comes from Sydney Mines High. She was the Secretary for the P.C. party and an active member of the Glee Club. She was the costume Directress for the Drama Club., Mary will be off to the Mount next year for a B.A. BERTRAM EDWARD BROPHY Bert comes from the potato land of P.E.I. and is a former student of St. Dunstans U. Spud is known for his fine singing and guitar playing. He was an active member of the Glee Club and the Xaverian Singers. He plans to go into Law. Rod is a former student of MacCormick School. He is a very good ballet dancer and proved this in our Sno-Ball variety show. He enjoys bowling and playing hockey. His plans are undecided. -Ianni 'mn -u-'ffw Y' ANNE MIRIAM MacDONALD Under the capable leadership of Hum our Treasure Van made a lot of money for W.U. S.C. Anne also performed in the play The Rivals . A graduate of Sydney Mines High, she plans to finish her education at St. F.X. and be- come a teacher. VIOLA ANNE GALLANT Viola received her pre-col- lege at Mt. Carmel High. While at college here she liked bowling and especially a guy named ?. She plans to go to St. F.X. where she will get her B.A. then proceed on to the teaching field. ERNEST ALEXANDER MORRISON Ernie came to X.C. from the Academy. He is another quiet student around the campus. Most of his time was spent in concentrated study. Future?? WAYNE ALOYSIUS CURRIE Wayne is one of the Bay Boys and a former graduate of St. Michael's. DONALD GERARD MacINTYRE Rankin Memorial School in Iona is where Donnie Hails from. He played Inter-Class hockey while here at X.C. He hopes to get his B.A. from big X. then teach. ARTHUR MICHAEL MacPHEE Art comes from Sydney Aca- demy and is a commerce stu- dent. He was most active in the field of bowling. He hopes to become a Chartered Ac- countant. ELIZABETH CHARLOTTE YOUNG No doubt Liz comes from Bras D'Or High. She was con- cerned with the layout on the yearbook and bowled while here at X.C. AJunior Edu- cation Diploma at St. F.X. awaits Liz. MARTINA STAMPER Martina came to X.C. in the fall of '64. She is a former graduate of Thompson High school. She appears to be one of the quieter types at X.C. Beside taking an active interest in the Drama Club, Bob likes the activities of the Rifle Club. He plans to get a Master's in Admin- istration. VERNON BATES Vernon is the N.D.P. leader at X.C. He comes from New Waterford and attended St. Agnes and Central High Schools. After a stay at St. F.X. he will become a teacher. 26 WILLIAM STEELE Bill was a former student at MacDonald High and decided to come to X.C. in the fall of '62. After a year away from this college he decided to re- turn. He is undecided what he will do when he has completed his education. BRENDON LEWIS YAZER Brendon is one of the Academy students. He was Business Manager for the Yearbook, and held a similar position with W.U.S.C. Next year will see her at big X. and after this she will teach. MARY MARGARET SHAW Mary comes from St. Michael's and has the hobby of- driving around in a big '65 Pontiac. She always seems to have a humorous note about each of her courses. Next year Angel will be at Mount St. Vincent working for a B.A. 'df' TERRENCE DAVID MacLEAN Terry is a News-Editor for the Excalibur and through this job he got an opportunity to criti- cize sorne of the In- tellectua1s . He comes from Sydney Academy. He likes hockey and bowling. Future: B.A. from St. F.X. WALTER JOSEPH NALEPKA Walter, one of the quiet boys at X.C. came from St. Michael's in the big Glace Bay. He likes to play hockey and while at this col- lege he played with an Inter- class team. His future is un- decided, but he plans to go to St. F.X. next year. GEORGE HALL SHAW Another Academy Student, George came to X.C. in the fall of '64. He enjoys arguing with the Profs. 'i3p JEANETTE MARIE ROBERTSON Jeanette comes from River- view High, and is the only girl at X.C. who has a diamond to show-off. She enjoys studying most of the time and could be found in the library at anytime. She plans to teach. HELEN PEREHINIAK A graduate of MacDonald High, Helen is one of the brighter girls. She likes the Drama Club and the Glee Club. Her favorite subject is Philosophy. Helen's plans in- clude a Junior Ed. from Mount Saint Bernard. FRANCIS PATRICK HARTIGAN Frank has the fashion of taking a liking to red heads , and is thus kept busy after college hours. During college he likes hockey, and was the President of the Bowling Committee. Frank plans to get his B.A,, B.Ed. from St. F.X. PETER GAZIL GOUTHRO Peter is another student from MacDonald High. He likes bowling, and was often at Bol- Mor on Thurs. Peter has not decided what he will do vet. He plans to be president of a cigar company some day. ARCHIBALD GORDON MacEACHERN Archie comes to X.C. from Sydney Academy. He enjoys sports and while at college he played Interclass Hockey. His plans include an Arts Degree from St. F.X. a mzsg, ? C' A W ZITA EILEEN MacNEIL Fork is a graduate of Syd- ney Mines High. She takes an active interest in Debating and likes the Glee Club acti- vities. Her next stop is Mount Saint Bernard and then she will teach. CHARLOTTE CECILIA PARUCH Chay comes to X.C. from Holy Redeemer High. Her activities include Glee Club, Drama Club, a staunch Liberal supporter and the Literary Club. She plans to join the ranks of teaching after a stop at St. F.X. JAMES ROBERT FRANCIS Bob was the acting presi- dent of the Drama Club. His favorite words were Re- hearsals at 3:30. He was also active in the Glee Club, Yearbook and the Sno-Ball festival Committee. He is off to Big X and there he will decide his future. VINCENT CHARLES GALLANT Vince is one of the New Water- ford boys and is a graduate of Mount Carmel High. He likes skating and bowling. His plans include a B.A. After this he would like to teach. Besides building, Lorne likes bowling and hockey. An Arts degree from St. F.X. is included in his plans. SHAUN MacGILLIVARY Shaun came to X.C. from the Academy, and is the only one in the Xaverian Folk Singing group who can play the guitar without strings. He is also the Sports Editor for the Excali- bur. Shaun hopes to get his B.A. from St. F.X. wp? CATHERINE WINNIFRED CONNELL Cathy is a former student of New Victory and came to X.C. in the fall of '63. She likes bowling and the activities of the Glee Club. Cathy hopes to become a Social Worker after a short stay at St. F.X. ANNE LORRAINE MacNEIL Chickie is a graduate of St. Michael's and is a lead singer in the Xaverian Singers. Be- sides this she enjoys bowling and the duties of the Glee Club. After her education is com- plete. He was also the Pres. of the Students' Co-Op Society. He hopes to enter big business. JAMES EDWARD MacNEIL Jim is a graduate of St. Michael's, and came to X.C. in the fall of '63, He was the Graduate Editor of the Year- book, an active member of the Drama Club and the Glee Club. He was Co-Editor of the Yearbook, Manager of the basketball team and active in curling. He still found time to sing in the Glee Club and help the Drama Club. Future: 77? WILLIAM BLENNIS DOYLE A former student of Sydney Academy, Blennis came to X.C. in the fall of '63. You could always hear him in the College, for he was always busy teasing someone. He en- joys hockey and the activities of the Rifle Club. Future: A college Prof. KV' xv' vm JUDY ANN MacDONALD Judy comes to X.C. from St. Michael's in Glace Bay. She was a star in the play The Rivals , and also took Cpart in! another play by the Drama Club. She enjoys bowling and giving newscasts for big X. Her future is undecided. CAROL ANNE DWYER Carol is another Holy Angels' girl. Her activities at X.C. in- clude such things as the Drama Club, basketball and the Choir. Carol plans to teach when she leaves St. F.X. ci?-,gi ANGUS DOUGLAS MACKIE Angus comes from St. Michael's in Glace Bay. His pastime is keeping a former student from Holy Angels busy. Besides his daily en- joyment, the ride to and from Glace Bay, he was active in the Model Parliament. Future: B.A., B.Ed., then teach. GEORGE WAYNE MacDONALD Wayne obtained his college requirements at Sydney Aca- demy. At X.C. he enjoys hockey and the chores of the Religious Committee. Future: ??'? '3- 4'.'.iT ' 31 ROHAN EDMUND MILLER Ron came to X.C. from the Academy and is one of the quieter boys. Most of his spare time was filled in with studying, although he did take time off to play hockey. His plans include a B.A., B.Ed. PAUL JAMES BLACK Bozo came to X.C. in the fall of '63, after some time at Sydney Academy. He likes bowling very much and fixing sets for the Drama Club. Paul hopes to get his B.A., B.Ed. from st. F.X. 4217?-ll LINDA MARY LUEDEY Linda is another graduate of Mount Carmel High. She came to X.C. in the fall of '64, Her favorite saying is You're kidding .
