The State House has the second largest marhle dome in the world, and is considered one of the most beautiful huildings in the counf try. Providence is an industrial city, the center of jewelry manufacturing. Numerous educational facilities include a splendid public library. Saint Xavier's is its oldest Catholic high school. La Salle Academy. staffed by the Christian Brothers, is the largest parochial boys school in the State of Rhode Island. Its high academic standards are well-known to all of us here. Sister planned llll evening during Catholic Education Week in Novemher when a panel of faculty members spoke to a capacity audience of parents, who met the teachers inforf mally later in classrooms, and closed the evening with refreshments. As head of the guidance department, Sister Ivfary Marjorie has planned a complete guidance prograin, eounseling, and placement service. She has obtained certitif cation for her guidance personnel. We appreciate. particularly. Sister Ivlary Marjoric's prayer- ful and deep concern for our spiritual, scholastic, and social welfare, evidenced in her careful planning and wholehearted giving of herself and l1er time to us.
