Allll 0llY IHIAIHI Mother Mary Catherine, R.S.M., Mother Provincial, a distinguished alumna of Saint Xavier's, acts in an ad- visory as well as directive capacity. Mother is also responsible for the appbintment and training of faculty members. Mother Provincial is the honorary president of Saint Francis Xavier Alumnae Association. Sister Mary Pierre, R.S.M., is presently superior of Saint Francis Xavier Convent, where she received her appoint- ment in August, 1956. Sister was formerly principal of Mercymount Country Day School, Manville. Her teachers see her as the eternal concern of the Blessed Trinity, created in Their very image and like' ness. Each girl presents to them a soul for whom they are in labor until Christ be formed therein. They try to impress on her young mind and heart the eternal value of the life of the spirit, the infinite importance of her sharing in the God- head of Him who shared her humanity. Finally, in the Name of the Great Teacher, they strive to save her from the con- fusion and frustration resulting from a failure to realize a great truth: the Presence of divine life in her soul.
