through Mary To Jesus As a linal tribute, we the Senior class have dedicated our year book to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, not only in memory of our final year at this Academy, but in the hope that by keep- ing it in the home. it will be a means of draw- ing people closer to the Sacred Heart. Each Xavierite should consider herself a cell of Catholic Action, working in union with others for the betterment of Catholics all over the world. But our Lord will never be outdone in generosity, for with His promises made to Saint Margaret Mary for those who honor His Sacred Heart, we are assured of many spiritual rewards, both on this earth and in heaven. HI will give them all the graces necessary in their state in life. I will establish peace in their houses. I will comfort them in all their afllictions. I will be their secure refuge during life, and above all in death. I will bestow a large blessing upon all their undertakings. Sinners shall hnd in My Heart the source and the infinite ocean of mercy. Tepid souls shall grow fervent. Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection. I will bless every place where a picture of My Heart shall be set up and honored. I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts. Those who shall promote this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be blotted Ollt. I promise thee in excessive mercy of My Heart that My all-powerful love will grant to all those who communicate on the First Fri- day in nine consecutive months tl1e grace of linal penitenceg they shall not die in My dis- grace nor without receiving their sacramentsg My Divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment. We 547 SACRED Heart of Jesus, we consecrate our school to Thee. In doing so we hope to carry out Thy desire to reign over all. Come, then, and assume Thy rightful reign in our school as well as our hearts, Thou Who are King of Love and Prince of Peace. Under Thy watchful care and guidance we intend to carry on our student activities. We ask Thee to preside over and bless our work and amusements, sanctify our joys, and soothe our sor- rows. Thou hast chosen our school from many others to be a re- cipient of Thy love and a sanctuary of reparation wherein Thy most loving Heart shall iind consolation for the ingratitude of men. Abide with us, O Sacred Heart of Jesus, and we will at- tempt in a small way to make atonement for those who are con- stantly wounding and hurting You each day.
