Sister M. Consolata Principal Religion I V Science Mathematic: I V Dear Graduates of '53 May the Lord bless and keep you always! What does God want of you? There is only one answer-Service, loving service. You will give this service in one of three states-married, single or religious. Commencement means you begin a more intensive preparation for this particular state, and as you go on for further study, choose wisely. Why? Because we serve God best in the state for which we are adapted. Only in conformity to His divine plan can you hope to enthrone Christ as King in your sphere of influ- ence. Sometimes, as you travel on, it may be hard to say no but let us remember it must cost us something to do something for God. My eighth grade teacher gave me these words of advice, Say 'yes' as long as you may and say 'no' when you must. You are striving for perfection and you know no saint was ever a coward-have the courage to say that NO when you must. Make of each one, God, an arrow swift and straight Whittle, smooth and polish her short length Tip her with love and she will give her life To be the gleaming shaft of Thy great strength. Then hide within Thy quiver each small dart- Some day to win for Thee a truant heart. This borrowed thought is my prayer for you. God love you. SR. M. CONSOLATA
