We exist not as lifeless spheres in inevitable motion, but as creatures of God capable of controlling to a degree our flight through time, and conscious of our relationship with others who affect our lives. Thus if our youth is not to be a divergent element in a scheme of interdepent men 'it will be through an informed thinking and free willing personality, in virtue of which qualities they are edu cable, able to be trained and influenced Saint Francis Preparatory School purposes to prepare one for life The successful accomplishment of this purpose rests in a double re sponsibility. First upon teachers to equip themselves with intellectual and spiritual qualities worthy to be brought to those who look to them out of immaturity. Secondly upon the student to dispose himself to re ceive that which is offered him. lf it is to be accomplished on earth education then will be the instrument for perfecting the similitude between the harmony of the planets and the relations of men.
