JOSEPH, the foster-father of Jesus Christ, was a just and pious man and a humble carpenter. Through long hours and arduous work he provided for the every need of Jesus and Mary. His hu- mility and resignation to the Will of God were evidenced in his cheerful acceptance of his life,s station. Catholics find in the Holy Family a per- fect example of every virtue. Thus, it is with understandable pride that The San Fran of 1952 singles out a few of the very many Wonderful members of the Saint Francis Family who are fol- lowing in the tradition of the Holy Family. Today, when Catholic education is one of the few remaining bulwarks against an ever-increasing surge of irreligion in so- ciety, it is edifying indeed, to Witness the zeal of those Franciscan Families who have made sacrifices in dedicating them- selves to the message of Christ as delin- eated in the encyclical of Pope Pius XI, Casti Connubiif' On this page are but a few of the fam- ilies of teachers and students, but they are highly representative of the many more who make up the ubodyv of Saint Francis Preparatory School.
