x-l I think we'll use 8 point GARAMONT. Penman editor interviewing Father Greene. WWW Standing: E. Dupont, W. Fredelake, R. Stommel, A. Gaudynski, W. Kohler, j. David, R. Jeziorski, M. Sorgi, R. Taylor, M. Josten. Seated: M. Chlebowski, J, Wiza, E. Cook. Checking the fllcs. Father Leo Seramur Faculty Advisor Sure I want to see pictures in the school papet-mine. Sure I want names in theretmine. The labor of the Penman staff is herculean; these students must wedge into their free-time all the hours that are required to produce a paper that will please four-hundred news-hungry hounds who want news that is appropriate to their own tastes, their own class, their own persons. No one envies the Penman its task. The wonder is that these gentlemen succeed so well and so consistently. Father Leo Seramur has hours of proofreading and hours of meeting in order to assure himself that the pa er will be representative. The editors must pen and erase and eer. The worl: gets done, though. And the Penman is deliv- ered on schedu e. Not without blood, sweat, toil, and tears, but not without l gloryt These pcnmen do themselves grand. Page 54

Communication is a problem that each man has with other men, that societies have within themselves. If things are to. function well, communication must be free and accessible. At the seminary there is gossip Ohc fastest but least reliableD, thc Penman Cexcellent, but monthlyl the professional hint iteasing at bestD, and the Bulletin. Best of all, there is the Bulletin. This is a tri-wcekly sheet which is loaded with the most urgent directives of the author- ities and the various special announcements which concern the students. Larded in between news of larger importance is handy informa- tion about the Mass of the day, intentions for the rayers of all students and professors, and goog advice of a general nature. Master of this aper is Father James Doheny. His more-than-agle assistant, this year, is Phil Smith, who dedicated hours and energy twho knows how many or how muchO to the suc- cess of the Bulletin. Perhaps no one will say thanks for all the good work. If you think no one is watching, however, you have only to listen to the howls of outrage when the Bul- letin is late, or missing. That's one way of knowing about good work. And the work is good!
