These princes of darkness do a ycoman's task 00 confuse a figure of speechh. Although their work is largely with nega- tives, the work is scarecly negative, because these young men are indis cnsablc to the VIA, invaluabc to the Mis- sions, and needed for thc satis- faction of that strange urge which inclines students to scampcr phrcnctically about with a camera to make perma- nent what time mchnt to be transient. These youths gener- ously give hours of work to the school, and we are ha py to bring to light what t cy so diligently do in darkness. and McNamara's band might have had more members, but it had no more enthusiasm than the seminary citizens who gather gleefully together to work over, rhythmi- cally and enthusiastically, those exciting and thundcfous pieces which Father Mueller has a talent for selecting. Lots of 3 time and constant work is required before one selection is presentable; ten hours might be spent to regale the students for ten minutes. But there are rewards, indeed. This group began with the quiet enthusiasm for only a pair of students, and it has grown to become a permanent part of our extra-curricular activity. Radio, incidentally, is a euphe- mism; these fellows are deadly in their dedication to communication: they have their own short wave unit and, through the mystery of their jargon, they manage to overcome barriers of space and language and to communicate with the world, no less.
