St. Francis was at first a definite threat in the 5-A-2 District, but a plague of iniuries brought the season to an end with three wins against five losses. The spirit of the team was never lost as its leaders retained the fighting spirit of the Saints. Frank Cerkoney's record at St. Francis will be hard to surpass. He merited All-District honors three con- secutive years.
