Lyle was with us throughout our grade and high school years His senior year was a life of suffering. Lyle died one week after our graduation, May 23, 1971. v -f' Although he is not with us he is in our hearts. He was a part of us--even though illness held us apart. After three weeks of his senior year, he left us--illness demanded it. He was up-- he was down. When he was able he attended our games. When he was unable we knew he was suffering --a long stark illness --death staring him in the face. He revolted--he had determination--he had great ambition --he wanted to be with his friends. --he wanted to return to school. --he wanted to participate in sporis. AND NOW The comedian of the class of 71 is gone. In his illness he kept smiling. In his illness he made many friends--bringing one closer to God. A honorary diploma he received on his deathbed. on the afternoon of our commencement day. That night he was with us in spirit --a vacancy was in our hearts. We knew the time would be coming when he would be with us no more He spent with us one week longer and his soul then sped to his God. l 5.4.3. 'C' ffl?
