The Frosh-Soph Track team had another great year as they won their third league championship in four years. Along with the Varsity, they posted a 9 wins and O losses dual-meet record and finished first at the WCAL finals. Individual league champions were Dave Sweeney in the 70 high hurdles, Bruce Bar- ron in the 330 low hurdles, Scott Gale in the mile and two mile, and Steve Comfort in the shotput and discus. Outstanding track athlete and field athlete for the Sophomores were Scott Gale and Steve Comfort. These awards on the Freshman level went to Paul Winkler and Gary Sevely. Freshmen who set school records were Paul Winkler in the 100, and Mike Hughes in the 880, and Gary Sevely in the long jump. The experience gained this year by the Frosh-Soph team should help the Varsity teams of the future to win further championships. Mike Hughes wins the 880.
