fix .s Coach Tuite The 1978 Varsity Cross Country season was almost a replay of the great 1977 season This year's team easily won the league with a perfect six wins and no losses recor After the league championships, in which six of the top nine finishes came from S Francis, the team traveled to CCS Region I finals. The Lancers performed excellentl as they finished with a strong second place finish, which qualified them for the CC finals. ln the end, St. Francis finished their successful season by finishing 11th out all the teams in the CCS. This year's team included seniors Paul McClure, Kurt Rochlitz, Mark Tipton and P Wahl, juniors lim Kaspari and Sam Cowley, and Sophomore Scott Gale. With th three returning members and additions from the junior Varsity and Frosh-Sop teams, the 1979 team could be just as successful! Scott Gale all by himself.
