Under the guidance of second year coa Ms. Barbara Meihaus, the l.V.'s posted an impressive oven record of 13-2 and were 10-1 in league play to take first pla in the SCVAL. This year's team consisted of ten freshmen and three sop omores, therefore the outlook is good for next year's j.V Outstanding players for the season were sophomore Crosby and freshman Rosanna Tuason. Qeiee Seaee eee ieee With four returning All League Players, the Lancers started their season determined to play the best basketball in the history of St. Francis. They won their first four prac- tice games and then went to the Santa Cruz Cardlette Tournament where they cap- tured first place honors. The practice season ended with an 11 win 0 loss record. The team then proceeded to run off 10 league wins to end the season with a perfect record. St. Francis then won the Shaughnessy Playoffs and the SCVAL title for the 10 Terra NOva in the finals. This end second straight year. These wins extended the winning streak to 23-0. the m0Sl SUCCeSSfUl SeaS0n in basketl history at St. Francis, leaving the tea The Lancers advanced to the Regional Playoffs where they convincingly defeated Wlfh an lrr1DreSSlVe 27-1 Overall mark. Menlo Atherton and played a near-perfect game in downing rival Mitty 71-32 for the Region ll title. From there the girls gained a berth to their goal, the CCS Tournament.
