E e Eeee aaa The girls cross-country team has 16 members this year. The team is com- posed of 1 senior, 5 juniors, '10 soph- omores, and 1 freshman. Since there were very few league meets, the girls en- tered several invitational meets including one at Foothill college in which they placed second out of 14 schools. Though plagued by injuries to several of its top runners, the team was able to place second in the SCVAL meet held at Foothill college. Top finisher was jenny Fuller. The team was able to qualify for the Regional meet, in which the top seven runners competed. Although the girls did not do well enough to advance to CCS finals, the girls ran their best race with top times by: jenny Fuller, Shannon McCarty and Leslie Dunckel. The girls cross-country team is young and will only lose one member to gradu- ation, Cindy Grillo. Next year, the team should be able to improve its already su- perb record.
