l , Q2 ?!i'i Q Ease 2 ie? On the evening of April 7, 1979, the Saint Francis A.F.S. Club stayed with tradition by spon- soring the annual Sadie Hawkins Dance. Traditional yes, but the band, Fragile, and the cool, exciting atmosphere led to the not-so traditional style of dress. Costumes steered away from the cowboy expectancy, and ranged from simple everyday clothing to the exotic outfits of the twenties. Fragile was hot- to-trot and although people didn't trot, they did get into some heavy boogying. It was, as usual, an evening that will be re- membered by all who attended. ig gage? eeaegee ee Daddy is a girl's best friend and that was the theme of the 1979 Father-Daughter Dance held on Saturday, March 10th. From eight thirty to midnight the couples danced the night away to the music of Shaky Ground. The dance was sponsored by all of the spirit groups and moderated by Mr. Robert Urban and Ms. Patricia Sullivan. The proceeds from this event will go to- wards next year's spirit groups and lowering the costs of their uniforms. An interesting point is that the dance was held on the same night as the final game of basketball's Tournament of Cham- pions in Oakland. Numerous calls were made throughout the evening to a local news station in order to keep everyone posted as to our team's progress. Which only goes to show that whether through sleet or storm or even Father-Daughter Dances, our school loyalty will not fail. A-dipping we will go fi-3 lg Nm H1 '14 A rose between two thorns!
