Saga Ea Saga This year, as usual, the Band presented its two annual concerts: the Christmas Con cert, and the Spring Pops Concert. The Christmas concert, which marked the end c the 1978 year, highlighted the season with various favorites, including Sleigh Ride and Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies. This concert brought Yuletide joy to all fa well as relief to a seemingly endless football seasonj. The Spring Pops Concert, in the tradition of the Boston Pops, offered a wide varief of tunes from various sources. The Cadet Band, as well as the Stage Band, pei formed both classical and modern hits. The Varsity Band played works ranging fror Rimsky-Korsakov's Procession of the Nobles to S'cool Room Latin to a medl from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club. Spicing up the program were solos Kathy Dixon and Liz Sroka, each on flute, Terry Flynn singing Qwith Mike Freitas pianoj, Chris Doyle on piano and last but definitely not least, Ted Marcopulos 0- tuba. 4 Throughout both of these events, the Lancer musical skills became better than eva leaving us with golden memories Cheese Loafing on the job! Their trip began with a flight to ondon on june 26.
