lee Ei?EQ??iE?QE5 E 2 Seeeie is The Speech Program this year had the most successful season ever in the history of St. Francis. Resounding victories that were a rarity, have now become commonplace. The team flourished under the coaches Mr. Barteletti, Michele Carter, and Bob Mocharnuk and under the leadership of officers Kathy Fitzsimmons, Maureen Fitzsimmons, Ann Scott, john Parks and Rich Savage. Sweepstakes were given to Saint Francis at several of the Individual Events touran- ments. Four people qualified for the State Tournament down in San Diego. john Parks went in Student Congress, Ann Scott and Kathy Fitzsimmons in Debate, and john Sobr- ato placed fifth in Expository. Other successes included Elaine Amiot and Maureen Fitzsimmons in Debate, Lucy Comfort, Sherri Sobrato, Cathy Crawford in Expositoryp Mark Flaherty, Suzie Puorro in Oratoryg Steve Novak in Humorous Interpretation, Fred juhos, Mark Tipton in Extemporaneousg and Pete Linlor in Original Prose Poetry. The team will be working towards even more success next year. Good luck to those who have graduated and to those who are competing in the years to come. Look at me, aren't I wonderful?
