The May Queen. :ls in former years. wore a while bridal gown and veil. Two small girls following the bride carried her veil. while the crown bearer carrying the crown of the Blessed Virgin on a blue satin pillow' trimmed with dainty lace. walked in front of the Queen. During the beautiful strains of hymns to our Blessed Lady. the pro- cession marched through the campus. and during the coronation song, the Queen placed a crown of lovely white spring flowers on the head of the Blessed Mother. The flower girls following, placed their bouquets ol flowers at the feet of Our l.ady's rlkllllth Benediclion was he-ld after the beautiful sermon. Mothers . given by Rev. Edward Holland. ln his address Father Holland compared our mothers to the Blessed Virgin. After we have left our Alma Mater we will always remember May Day and the pledge we recited to Our Blessed Mother on that day. Page 4
