Stamps and Hnnlls URING the past year of war and great strrfe the grrls of St FIGHCIS have taken great prlde ID 1nvest1ng therr money and encouraglng others to IHVGST rn stamps and bonds Thls was done to a1d m OblG1I'l11'lg a speedy v1ctory for Amenca On November ll before a hushed and appreclattve assembly a colorful program pertarnrng to Armrstrce Day was presented by the Amerlcan Govern ment Class Th1s beautrful patnotrc pageant deplcted promrnent events of World War l and Il lt brought before the mrnds of the gtrls what many Amencans sacr1f1ced for the1r country All the glrls were encouraged to lncrease thelr number of stamps and bonds for vrctory Amerrcan H1SlOFy for Vtctory was the txtle of a program presented on February 22 by the Amencan Htstory class Thrs program was the culmlnatlon of a weeklong War Bond Drrve All classes 1o1ned tn the drlve both as a co operatlve enterpr1se and a patr1ot1c gesture A grand total of S1267 50 was reahzed durmg the rally The marn feature of the program was a War Bond QUIZZ presented by the Junlors Thls qulzz gave everyone a clearer vlew of the purpose value and necesslty of buylng VICTOTY Bonds and Stamps By these var1ous programs and convocatrons the g1rls have tned to keep before the mrnds of the student body the grave responsrbthty of supplyrng all the needs of the boys at the front The convocauons seemed to have served the1r purpose for a total of S4500 tn bonds and stamps has been sold 1 f tt - - - ff - , .
