Misslnn Sunshine Snciety HE 1942 43 Mission and Sunshine Club part1c1pated 1n many act1v1 t1es and prolects 1n order as the name implies to help the misslons and spread sunshine This year the country being en gaged in war we were given many opportunities to do war work and perform acts of charity for the men in servlce Our chapter of the Sunshme Society made two large afghans for the convalescing soldiers at Billings dition to this medals and leaflets were sent to the var1ous camps ana training schools In the lnfantile Paralysis Drive the sum of fifteen dollars was collected The g1rls who worked at the different theaters and dur1ng intermi slons collected money for this purpose Two bundle drives of old clothes for the mi s1ons were sponsored dur ing the year The clothes were sent to the mission places in the West and Southwe t Money was taken from our fund to be sent to the poor and needy As in former years th1s was no ex ception the outstandlng event for the Christmas baskets Due to the ratlon ing of food the baskets were fewer in number nevertheless they were prepared w1th the same zeal and good cheer OFFICERS Pre ident Helen Ahler Treasurer Martha Farrell V1 e President Rita Kerkhove Chairman Indoor Committee Patricia Cah1ll Secretary Mary Ann Pos hauer hairman Outdoor Committee Gertrude Hale, Hospital.
