Chubby never let studies interfere with his education. His easy-qoinq, effortless manner used to amaze his classmates, because when Honor Cards were being handed out, he was right there. Outside of the class room, this young product of the Flower City, confined his social activities to those of the more artistic realm, althouqh he participated in Intramural Sports. But it was on the stage that his real talents could be appreciated. In the Senior Christmas play, he had the difficult part of a Sorority qirl, and it is a credit to his acting ability that his impersonation drew the applause of the audience. His manly voice also found expression over the ether. Ioseph's outlook on life can be summed up in this one statement - lt all comes to him who Waits.

With no offense to Grantland Rice, Danny was a top-notch Sports Editor on the Bulletin Stait and the splendid Writeups oi this major social interest at St. Francis are a tribute to his terse, big-time articles. But Dan was by no means just a passive onlooker in the sporting field. Up to the coming of Football as a major sport, he took part in Intramural League competition. But when this real he-man game, as he called it, came into its own up here, Danny began scrimmaging arduously and as the fruit ot his efforts, he promptly became one ot Banas's boys. His service to the Glee Club was recognized and he became Secretary of that renowned society in his senior year. Then there remains his position of Drummer in the Orchestra. The Collar-Ad model of the Class of l947, Frankie is not only a good dresser, but a good all-around man. I-le added his powerful push into making our newly-formed Football team a highly respected one. His driving finish established his position on the Track Varsity. Frank participated in Intramural contests, and was ready to take part in anything which would reflect well on his Alma Mater. lt is, therefore, no accident that he was a much sought-after orator, for his eloquence was of the first order. These experiences and his smooth diction stood him in good stead when he was chosen for the main lead in the Christmas Play in his Senior year.
