f happy moments at S F de S :Xny And T ell The staff of the 1950 Zllemoirs has enjoyed every minute of the work on the yearbook. Ever since last fall. when the entire senior class went out and solicited advertisements and patrons, we have tried to make a publica- tion that is worthy of the school. XVe have chronicled the serious and happy moments of our last year at St. Francis. XVe have tried to imprison the spirit and ideals of our school in the-s pages. XVe have presented the student body praying. working, and playing. Every member of the Memoirs staff shares the responsibility of the book you now have in your hands. There ar some. however. who Time-Nlary Anne Follmer. -lim and Xlary Catherine of Time deserve special mention. Sister Marie Berna- dette has worked unstintingly advising and planning. giving us out of her experience the help we needed. Editor Bob McManus has spent many hours writing, cutting, pasting. and confering He knew his staff and made assignments that brought the best possible re- sults. Natalie Riceiardo amassed most of the money during the drive for funds and has shown an unflagging zeal since. She knows how to spend wisely. ' O,Farrell. - s News and reviews of happenings here The '49-50 Newsark created much reader interest in the school. Under the guidance of Sister NI. Gratia it recorded the highlights of school life and spoke out by editorials and articles on subjects that would make for a greater St. Francis. The student publication gives news and re- views of important happenings around school and features sketches about the students them- selves. The purpose is not only to let the reader know what is going on but to serve as a record that he may scan later in his life. Naomi Rauch, the efficient, hardworking editor heads the staff. She gives assignments F iffy to the reporters, checks the articles, and does many things behind the scenes. She is, to a great extent, responsible for the Newsark. Frances Stare. capable business manager pay the bills and keeps the accounts favorably balanced. Donna Swank and Shirley Rich- mer, respectively, ar being groomed for the editorship and management next year. Sports editor Dick YVade is always on hand with the latest in scores and forecasts. Sharing the spot- light are the other reporters while the typists make it possible for the Newsark to go to press. Asst. Bus.
