Our priests, our sisters, our lay teachers . . . all working together . . . all dedicated to the fulfillment of one goal: to form Christ in us . . . to make us worthy citizens not only for this world but primarily for the Kingdom of Heaven. For this goal they give themselves unstintingly . . . their talents, their patience, their understanding, their good humor, their Christlike charity. In the classroom, at our meetings, at our sports events . . . they are there to lend their support, to show their interest in us their students. Whatever our blunders . . . whatever our foibles . . . they bear them valiantly as they expend their energies to lead us to accept the challenges of life, to meet our responsibilities toward our fellow men and toward our God.
