Miss Josephine Kurcz , has truly been an inspiration to the success of the Lancerettes. The experience she has attained throughout her many years in girls athletics has been the foundation for the physical development of our bodies and also the alertness of our minds. New charm and spark was added to our cheering squad by these charming girls: Left to right: Eileen Plizga, Carol Sosinksi, Patricia Kas- trau, Bernadine Pokoj, Ann- ette Poplawski, and Lorraine Chmielewski. girg Zgarfefgaf The genuine fundamentals of sports- manship have been deeply instilled in the hearts of every individual through her unending and tireless efforts. Our coach, not only taught but also exemplified dependability .... Truth, even though an admission of ignorance, establishes confidence. The 1951-1952 Lancerettes team hada very success- ful season coping the Central Division Championship. They had no difficulty in downing their opponents in six league games to gain the added distinction of be- coming undefeated champions. This season marked the end of their high school basketball career for seven Seniors. Namely: Rochelle Hamera, Constance Grajewski, Jane Silarksi, Hedwig Bradley, Phyllis Filipovich, Dorothy Jasinski, Chris- tine Kasprzyk, Eugenia Godlewski.
