PAUL BOVANKOVICH St. Nicholas Church Detroit, Michigan Paul can be summed up in one word, versatility. An honor student, his ability was by no means limited to the classroom. He was THE SKULLCAP busi- ness manager and an editorial writer for The Fiaielimz. His bass voice lent itself well to the choir and dramatics. He held the important role of Pontius Pilate in The Betrayal. Paulis favorite sports are tennis and football. His love of nature took him on frequent cross-country hikes, where he added to his knowledge of bird lore. He will continue his studies in the Byzantine-Slavonic rite at SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary. DONALD BRICE St. Alphonsus Church Wheeling, West Virginia Don's calm manner is an insight to his personality. Whether performing his duties as head sacristan or acting as seminary butcher, his way is always the calm, exact way. He could also be found listening to opera or other classical music, when not busy as literary editor of THE SKULLCAP. Don is an asset to any dramatic performance because of his ability as a makeaup artist and cos- tumer. But perhaps his most striking quality is his way of philosophizing situations. His way of evaluating daily problems will certainly be useful to him as he begins the second half of his journey to the priesthood, MAURICE BURNSWORTH St. Joseph Church Derry, Pennsylvania It may be a dismal day outside the school, but soon storms of gloom become sun rays of joy when Maurice brings that precious letter from home. Yes, Mau- rice is our mailman, but with letters or not, he always has a message of wit spiced with his constant smile. When such activities as organizing the lenten play and helping in the monastery kitchen claimed his time, Maurice could dream at least of a snow-covered slope for his skis, or a hard-hit softball drop- ping behind the center fielder. His winning personality should serve Maurice well at St. Vincent's. PATSY COLUCCI St. Michael Church Butler, Pennsylvania There he sits with propped-up feet, open collar, and rolled-up sleeves, en- gulfed in a rising cloud of smoke from his favorite pipe and the beautiful strains of Aida filling his ear-the picture of contentment and Pat. This, however, for an editor is a rare picture, for time is precious when a new SKULLCAP must be published. When it comes to matters literary, Pat's delicate touch of pleasing simplicity in poetry and prose cop first honors. A winning smile, a word of en- couragement, and a pun characterize Pats wonderful spirit which goes to the Capuchins in july.

PAUL DURKIN St. Margaret Church Greentree, Pennsylvania Friendliness seems to be a byword with Paul. His beaming smile and his generous manner make even a stranger feel at ease in his company. With his tenor voice he has been active in the different choir groups. His love for sports has prompted him to join the sports committee. Paul has the task of running the motion-picture projectors for the movies shown in the Dramatic Hall. At any time of the day he is a good fellow in a friendly card game or arguing over the sports page. Paul will continue his studies for the diocesan priesthood at St. Vincent's. CHARLES GASPER St. Mary Church Allison, Pennsylvania Charlie may easily be classified as one of the more talented members of the graduating class. During study periods one could usually find him explaining a difficult chemistry problem or Greek structure to one of his fellow classmates. As photographic editor of both The Fiflelifm and THE SKULLCAP, Charlie spent much of his time in the darkroom. Nevertheless. he was always ready for a quick handball game or simply a quiet recreation period spent smoking and talking in the club room. Charlie will be remembered mainly for his generosity, his pleas- ant smile, and his pleasant personality. Charlie will don the Capuchin habit in july. WILLIAM HARVEY Holy Name Church Ebensburg, Pennsylvania Bill is the youngest graduate this year and perhaps the richest, for a wealth is found in his treasury of smiles. This gay spirit of Bill's spreads a warm glow over his friendship. Gifted with unwavering motives and strong determination, Bill rounds off these qualities with precision. He leaves no field of endeavor un- tried and finds pleasure in all. A hike in the woods, a set of tennis, and an oper- atic aria afford Bill a varied agenda for recreation. When the Capuchin habit clothes him, Bill's enviable simplicity and jovial sincerity will add the polish to a new Franciscan. PAUL GLASS St. Peter Church Brownsville, Pennsylvania The walking encyclopedia of the class is undoubtedly Paul Glass. Paul's wealth of knowledge concerning general topics has won him that title. His subtle humor has found clever but harmless sarcasm for its medium of expression. Paul's greatest extracurricular activity is The Fidelimz. As editor-in-chief of the school paper, it was his responsibility to keep it at a high journalistic level. An examination of any of his editions of The Fidelimz is ample proof that Paul is not one who shirks his duty. Paul also enjoys writing short stories and smoking mellow briars. The Capuchin novitiate will be Paul's next residence.
