Commencement Speaker Urges Graduates to Like Work9 Keep Ideals High Commencement exercises were conducted in the FHS gym with Mr. Phil Eskew, Commissioner of the Indiana High School Athletic Association, as the guest speaker. Mr. Eskew urged all the graduates to look hard into their future and to plan well ahead what they would be doing. He told them to make sure that they will like their jobs since they will spend their whole lives at them. He also urged each to have a strong belief in God. Valedictorian Joe Vaal and Salutatorian Beverly Begle both cen- tered their speeches on the gratitude the graduates should express to their parents, teachers, relatives, and friends who have helped them to reach this point in their lives.
