SENIORS PATRICK RECKER Pat is usually kept busy on his dad’s turkey farm. For a while he sported a yellow Plymouth that all of a sudden converted to a nice-looking blue and white Dodge. What happened? Only the poor yellow Plymouth knows. He was a part-time Senior, leaving school at noon for work. Dennis is Jake’s constant companion and fellow mischief maker. He is very quiet and doesn’t have the bad habit of talking in his sleep; therefore, he doesn’t have much to say in class. Farming is what he will probably take up after graduation. EDWARD RUHE If anyone wished to find Eddie, he would look for the boy with the bandages. Purely by accident, he and the other two musketeers, Kenny and Dennis, accompanied by Kenny’s auto- mobile, just missed the bridge but hit the ditch. He’s a regular fellow who helped make our high school days jolly ones. DENNIS SCHAEFFER This young gentleman is the pride and joy of our school glee club, having sung a solo at the state music contest. He is a good worker and is often called on to do various odd jobs. Girls are his main interest in life and teasing them is his favorite pastime.

JOHN OLINGER SENIORS Being chosen a class officer for the past three years shows how John’s classmates feel about him. He was a member of the starting five on the Crusader basketball team and was also the star pitcher on the baseball team. A straight A student, John plans to go to college next year. MARY ANN OSER This little lassie is known by her many friends as ‘'Annie. As a member of the pep club and in any other activity she showed her loyal spirit. She was a faithful member of the yearbook staff and put forth earnest effort--such as should prove her a valuable member of society. f 3 I BERNARD PUND Though not a farmer by birth, Bernard is greatly interested in agriculture and in raising poultry. He is one of the initial members of the boys’ glee club and also sings in the men’s choir of the parish. He intends to leave for the Army almost immediately after graduation. ANNA MARIE RAHMAN When looking for this tall dark-headed young lady, one can usually find her in the library, indulging in her favorite pas- time; namely, reading. She is noted for her smile and the “hi” she has for everyone. Other than her reading interests, she enjoys the lady-like art of baking.

CLARA MAE SCHIPP SENIORS Reigning as Basketball Queen was an honor bestowed upon Clara Mae in her Senior year. She was St. Ferdinand High’s re- presentative in the Daughters of the Revolution contest. She is a member of the foursome, consisting of Barbara, Ann, Sandy and herself. Her plans are to enter St. Mary’s School of Nursing at Evansville in the fall. David schnieders If you want to get David’s attention, just start talking about cars since motors and mechanics are his main interests. How- ever, he enjoys other activities as he was an initial member of St. Ferdinand High Boys’ Glee Club. As a Senior he held the office of class secretary. LINDA STECZYK If silence speaks louder than words, this little lady must speak worlds, for she is always seen but never heard. When assistance is needed at any time or at any place, Linda is ready to lend a helping hand. There is one strange thing about her, however-- her last name--no one knows how to pronounce it and is still less able to spell it. Kathleen tellman Kathy’s talent lies in the music department, as she plays not only the piano but also the bell lyre and the field drums. Dancing is the highlight of her leisure moments. Her magnetic giggle is sure to attract attention and has helped her form a long line of friends.
