SENIORS RICHARD LEE SANDRA LEINENBACH Sandy, as she is known by all her schoolmates, can-not be overlooked. Her 52 Dodge, “Sadie,” parked at a slant, will always be remembered as one of the familiar sights at the high schooL As a Sophomore, Sandy held two offices; namely, that of class treasurer and President of the Marylike Homemakers Club. Richard is a very active member of the class. Besides being student-manager of both the basketball and baseball team, he sings in the glee club and also any other time he has a chance. Dick’s future is rather uncertain. NORMAN LUEKEN Nothing is too much of a favor to ask of this young man. It can readily be understood why he’s everyone's friend. As a sax- ophone player he has won six awards in music competition. Fellows like Norman are few and far between. PAUL MEHLING Paul is the witty fellow in our class. General knowledge is where he shines, but he is also interested in mechanics. Everyone agrees that his varied talents and his ability to get along with people are sure to bring him success.

GERALD HOLTZMAN SENIORS An earnest worker and a silent gentleman is Gerry. His future may well lie in the business field as he takes a great interest in bookkeeping. He is an ardent naturelover, likes hunting and has participated in many forestry and wildlife projects in the 4H. LEONA KITTEN Leona entered upon her Senior year with someone missing in her life. That someone was her twin brother Leander, who preferred the Navy to school life. However, she didn’t let his absence dull her spirits, for her smile and happy laughter are always seen and heard. A whizz at shorthand, she is certain to get the secretarial job for which she is looking. KENNETH JACOB Kenny is quite an astounding fellow. The customized ’48 Chevy he drives to school even’ day has a pair of foot-long tail pipe extentions and pep aplenty. Kenny has a good time in school and out. Being a future agriculturalist is his ambition. Nancy joined our class in her Junior year and with her friend- liness and pleasant personality was soon one of us. She especially enjoys being in the company of the twins, Rosa Lee and Vera Lee. As for studies, her typing class, with its 10- minute timings, is her worst headache--the reason--her type- writer is the old-fashioned type that makes SO many mistakes. NANCY KEMPF

JOHN OLINGER SENIORS Being chosen a class officer for the past three years shows how John’s classmates feel about him. He was a member of the starting five on the Crusader basketball team and was also the star pitcher on the baseball team. A straight A student, John plans to go to college next year. MARY ANN OSER This little lassie is known by her many friends as ‘'Annie. As a member of the pep club and in any other activity she showed her loyal spirit. She was a faithful member of the yearbook staff and put forth earnest effort--such as should prove her a valuable member of society. f 3 I BERNARD PUND Though not a farmer by birth, Bernard is greatly interested in agriculture and in raising poultry. He is one of the initial members of the boys’ glee club and also sings in the men’s choir of the parish. He intends to leave for the Army almost immediately after graduation. ANNA MARIE RAHMAN When looking for this tall dark-headed young lady, one can usually find her in the library, indulging in her favorite pas- time; namely, reading. She is noted for her smile and the “hi” she has for everyone. Other than her reading interests, she enjoys the lady-like art of baking.
