Third rote, Left to Right: Margaret Heischmidt, john Miller, Dale Fairchild, Bill Haslett. The St. Elmo High School Hand is under the direction of Mr. Norman Schreiber this year. The Rand has played several concerts, namely, a vesper musicale on November 2, and a Christmas concert on December 18. The group has also played for school assemblies and the home basketball games. Individual band members have had the privilege of representing the entire band at several festivals and clinics. These were: the All-State Band Festival at Champaign in late November, the South-Central Hand Directors Association Music Festival at Vandalia in December, and a band directors clinic at Cham- paign in january. About ten members played in a massed band at the E. I. Tour- nament in February. The various ensembles which practiced together during this year along with the full band went on a spring tour to other schools in this vicinity. Social activities haven't been neglected Band members have en'oved several '15- . .
