This year, the students and faculty went all out for Spirit Week. The first day of celebration was Ethnic Day with students dressing in the traditional costumes of their national origin. Dances of the lrish, Mex- ican, and African nations were performed. The second day was Grub Day with the Senior Class winning as the grub- biest class and Bretton George as the grubbiest individual. The third day, Faculty Talent Day, got into full swing with Mr. August's band and Misters Trost, Rowe, Cardinet, and Radich presenting their rendition of Okie from Muskogee . The fourth day the Seniors showed their stuff by winning Class Color Day, Cwith a little help from Pancho Villaj. Finally, Spirit Week ended with Red and White Day. Despite the Se- niors' devastating victory over the faculty in the basketball game, the Juniors' were the ultimate victors of Red and White Dav. This year's Spirit Week winners placed in the order of their classes were the Seniors with first place, the Juniors with second, the Sophomores with third, and the Freshmen with last place. Students are no longer required to attend 7th period homeroom. In this way the teachers are available during this time to those students who so desire the help. Many teachers have put their time and effort into extra curricular activities in an attempt to bridge the gap between student and faculty members.
