The gullible old buffoon Orgon is taken in by the wily Tar- tuffe, who is disguised as a clergy- man. The rest of Orgon's family sus- pects Tartuffe's intentions and tries to convince Orgon of his double- dealing. But not until Tartuffe se- duces his wife, Elmire, does he be- lieve it. The satire and wit are sharp and humorous. CAST OF CHARACTERS Dorine .. ........,..,........,..... Peggy Fleming Damis .... .... D ave Wellington Cleante .,...... . . . E. put on a challenging and popular musical. Terry Deane, timmediate leftl starred as Oliver. Director, Father Collins worked with a cast and chorus of 150 students. Their co-operation and talent helped Oliver to be a great S. E. production. Many hard hours of practice in lines, songs and dancing took place. Waneta Hale and Bretton George ofthe Junior class were voted the grubbiest by the judges. Patti Luis and her partner finished first in a crazy obstacle course for the sophomore class. The activities ended in a tie between the Senior and Junior class in a rugged tug-of-war contest. Crazy Daisy Day proved to be the most challenging. Kevin Magee of the Freshmen class obtained 480 daisies and became lVlr. Irresistible. The Class of 1970 won Spirit Week for the third consecutive year. The class worked as one in developing their theme, Righteous Romans. Euthusiastic Seniors wore purple or gold sheets Roman style on Class Color Day and topped it off with a super-good and well organized skit. The Class of '72 trailed closely in second placeg the Class of '71 in third and Freshmen in fourth. The week was completed with School Color Day and the Senior-Faculty game. Seniors lost by a few points in the end, giving the Faculty victory! 1 . 1 1 . f 1 f ' '-.
