With Goal fi .f - f , , . ,X an eww! Dazyf MIDST THE RUSH OF SCHOOL LIFE, Elizabethans paused between semesters for the annual Retreat, held from Ian. 31 to Feb. 2. The three days of silence were opened with a High Mass in honor of St. Iohn Bosco. Father Servace Ritter, O.F.M., con- ducted conferences in chapel for the jun- iors and seniors, while the sophomores and freshmen received instruction from Father Alvin Schlubeck, O.F.M., in the FATHER SERVACE RITTER, O.F.M. f f, ,, ' iw. ff A 7 fgzmw, 1 wh FATHER ALVIN SCI-ILUBEK, O.F.M. gymnasium. The student body met to- gether at the close of each day for Bene- diction of the Blessed Sacrament. DURING THIS TIME of close union with God, each girl had an opportunity to balance the books of her spiritual life. She took time out in the game of life to refiect how she had been following the Coach, Iesus Christ, and how well she had observed the rules, the Ten Command- ments. The Sehola, under the direction of Sister Mary Paschal, C.PP.S. is composed of juniors and seniors, who generously spend after-school hours preparing the chant. Utilizing the opportunities that are theirs, the girls endeavor to participate wholeheartedly in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the undying tragedy of love. J .-
