MEN S VARSITY BASKETBALL The 778-'79 Hilltopper basketball team opened the season under the direction of first-year coach, Rick Starzecki. Spirits were high in the early going, but the team stumbled to a 6-21 season record. Despite the poor record, the players never lost pride. The season was ended on a winning note, a 98-92 victory over cross-town rival Huston-Tillotson. Two months after the season's finale, Starzecki announced his resignation. The 1979 TOWER salutes graduating seniors Steve Jaska, Harold Kindred, ,lim Littleton, and Allen Zaiontz.
