girls complete best season front I. to r.- mary lloyd, karen mahoney coach sayler, linda schmidt. back I. to r.- michelle witt, pam sindelar, jo afrank, janeli zabka, jody prorok, barb case, connie micek cary micek, mary sorensen, gina kmiecik, jennifer dawson, carol werner, chris case. the st. ed. varsity and reserve volleyball teams closed out the '76 season with a 4-8 and 1-8 record respectively. the records, however, do not show the improvement of these young, aggressive, and inexperienced squads, the girls steadily refined skills and techniques throughout the year, the first part of the season gave them only losses and the determination to work harder to improve, once the basics were polished up, the beaverettes captured some victories, even though the beaverettes' records were losing ones, there is brightness for the future, when the girls mature and gain experience, victories will come easier, with support and encouragement, the young teams will be able to restore the winning tradition of st. edward high school. 6
