Ill After a semester of trial last year, the Student Council became a per- manent fixture of the St. Edward High School. Bob Carter was elected president by popular vote of the students. In the council elections Eva jones was elected vice-presidentg Donna Phillips, secretary' and john Vestmore, treasurer. Mrs. Anderson and Mr. Peterson were commissioned as faculty advisers. This year the members saw a need for more school convocations, so under their sponsorship each school organization presented a program of an hour or so to commemorate a holiday or merely as a diversion from reg- ular routine. An interschool Christmas dance was one of the first func- tions instigated by the council However, the members also realized their more serious civil duties by taking over bleacher supervision problems during the noon hour x .5 SEATED Gayle Collins Shirley Wheeler Eva jones Donna Phillips Bob Carter john Westmore Karen Martin Sandra Moore Don Olson STANDING Hal Hasselbalch Beverly Swanson Rex Fischer Billy Reardon r' I III STANDING Sharon Davidson Ann Taylor, Delores Evans Kathleen Taylor Bonnie Adams SEATED Mary jane Saunders Sharon Woznxak 2 BACK ROW Udine Fisher Mildred Nelson, Bonme Bryan Nadean Gress, hlla jeffryes Alyce Dannelly Nancy Phllllpa Karen Werner, Mar1annRolofson Sharon Davidson THIRD ROW Vlrgle Kay Koerber, Barbara Bryan Patty Brunk Bonnxe june Kxeslxng, Anita Saunders Elaine Keefer Mandy Sherrill Patsy Guxnan Janxce Koffman SECOND ROW Janice Beckman Eonme Saunders Phyllis Fonda janet Clark Joyce Adams Zada Strong Dora jean Cruxse Margxe Adams FRONT ROW karen Metzger Sharon Wozmak Ko Ann Sherrxll Mary jane Saunders Bonnie Adams , ' K V - . , , . . , , fn . , , . . - . , , V 1 I ' ' I I I 1 , 1 - : I I I I I , , . : 1 I I 1 ' W We BACK ROW Vxrginla Nelson Yvonne Spens Marilyn Miller, Dorla Myhre Barbara Van Wey, Shirley Wheeler, Donna Thompson Germame Werts Wilma Jaxxen Dee Dee Iverson Patricia Workman FOURTH ROW Conme Clark Rogene Fusselman Sandra Moore Glenna Williams Catherlne Hasselbslch Darlene Ellers Karen Martm Lucy Baker Patty Novotny Beverly Swanson Nellie Zabka Muriel Shell jo Olive Lightner THIRD ROW Shirley Weldon Nlary Loulse Thompson Marllyn Francis Nxla Cummlng Maureen Matzen Virgmla Adkxns Celme Reardon Donna Phxllxps Judy Wheeler Vxola Zabka Delores Evans Sharon Davldson SECOND ROW Eva jones Nadean Gress Kathleen Taylor Nancy Phrllxps Patrlcia Steele Nlla jeffryes jean Case Alyce Dsnnelly Gayle Colllns jo Ann VlcCo11 Lavona Zxmmerle FRONT ROW Iola Zabka Mary Andreason Ann Taylor Ardath Milburn Udlne Fisher Bonnle Adams, Bonme Newton Shirley Francis Verna Schllz The G1rls Glee Club and Boys Glee Club combme to make a Mlxed Chorus of nmety members One of the blg events of the year, the Albron Clmlc, was held january 20 and 21 wlth Mr Chester Francls, of Oklahoma, conductmg Flve hundred students, flfty of whxch were from S E H S partlclpated ln the choral festlval State muslc clmlc ln Iworfolk, combmed band, orchestra, and chorus ln a flnal concert glven November 18 1949 Representatlves from S E H S Gayle Collms, Bllly Carter Hal Hasselbalch and Connle Clark sang ln the chorus whlch was conducted by Mr Imlg, of Colorado Umverslty 0 1 , . . 1 .
