fan THE MOST REVEREND THOMAS E MOLLOY S T D fx N. - T T nun nufslnncf mnns us In the Incarnation Christ reveals His infinite love for all human beings. insofar as man is con- cerned this mysterious and miraculous fact gen- erates and proclaims his intrinsic dignity and par- amount worth. The Incarnation, morever, establishes the soli- darity of mankind and thus forever all human beings are to be acknowledged as one single univer- sal family. Christ came into the world to sanctify and save the human race as the one human family which it is. He restored the consciousness of that natural brotherhood which is the corollary of our com- mon origin through creation and by realizing our participation in the Divine nature, through the ln- carnation, He insured the sublime, supernatural brotherhood in Christ. This brotherhood encompasses every indivdual human being without exception. It created a rela- tionship more intimate than that of blood. It estab- lished a solvent of every barrier of religion and nationalism. And, therefore, Christ and His Apost- les taught- there is no longer Jew, nor Creek, nor barbarian, nor Scythian, for you are all one in Jesus Christ. iCal. 3-281 'What a blessing it would be to our contemporary world if this Christian truth would enlighten, guide and inform the aspirations and activities of every member of the human family but especially, at the moment, the leaders of all nations who, facing the threatening menace of a third global conflict, are endeavoring to establish unity and order among the peoples of the earth and to insure world concord and peace.

LHIIUS HIHU DIFFER BUT... On the north shore of Long Island lies the village of Oyster Bay. lt is important historically because here took place the famous exchange of letters between Major Andre and Benedict Arnold. Oyster Bay also sheltered Washington and his troops during the Battle of Long ls- land. Here. too, is the home of the beloved Theo- dore Roosevelt. Yet today the importance of Oyster Bay lies in its shipbuilding and fishing industries. These have been developed for years. The bay, in addition, invites the pleasure seeker. All day long on the hay are seen speed- ing motorboats, fishermen dangling their lines for a catch, and, when the tide is in, countless numbers enjoying a swim. As one stands on the sands of the Oyster Bay beach, its blue waters can be seen for a great distance. Beautiful are the numerous small boats rocking with the waves, the white caps, which slap up against the shore, and the sun- sets which cast their glow on the water. This is God's work,-and His handiwork is everywhere.
