THE SENIORS TRAVEL Our Washington trip is an event all eighteen of us will not soon forget. We have souvenirs and photographs which will quickly bring to our memory the won- ders of our visit to the Nation's Capital In Washington we were met by Mr. Joseph Gosselin and Colonel Francis Me- Cann, who again this year generously served as the official guides of St. Dom's students. Thanks to their capable guidance, we had a very extensive and interesting visit of the capital city. May they accept the expression.of our heartfelt gratitude for their devotedness and kindness. If someone should ask me, I would say that the most impressive buildings that I have seen are the Capitol and the Supreme Court 3 but I found the Bureau of Printing and Engraving and the F. B. I. building the most interesting. We saw so much in so little time that it is impossible to definitely name a particular sight as the number one spot of our trip. As scheduled, we left the National Capitalifor New York via Philadelphia. Our stay in the city of brotherly love was just long enough to visit Independence Square and see the Liberty Bell. The world's largest city has much to offer: the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, the Bronx Zoo, Radio City, and many other places which are truly spectacles. In New York our time was not wasted, from morning till early morning we were sightseeing, attending a Broadway hit, or enjoying some other form of entertainment. Our stay in the Metropolis was climaxed by a Yankee-Red Sox baseball game in the Yankee Stadium. Empty wallets were the most evident indication that our trip should come to an end. Therefore Sunday, May 1, after hearing mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral, we came home 5 tired but well satisfied. Let's hope that the seniors next year and all the years to come, enjoy their trip as much as we did ours. Paul Giguere, '49
