Peter, Conductor. DRUM MAJOR: Richard Marquis. THE EXCHANGE CLUB St. Dom's Band is striding towards progress. Founded only three years ago, it has steadily improved under the able direction of Bro. Peter. But the lack of instruments and of uniforms prevented it from achieving still greater results. Fortunately, the Exchange Club of Lewiston spontaneously came to the rescue. Under the leadership of Dr. Paul Fortier, a great friend of St. Dom's, the members of the club have launched an enthusiastic campaign which proved very successful. Of course, our own boys were willing to help themselves and they have cooperated in every possible way. At the close of the drive, Dr. Fortier presented Fr. Drouin with a 352,800 cheque. We are very grateful to the Exchange Club for this timely and generous con- tribution. New instruments have already been purchased, and 20 new uniforms are expected shortly. Soon a 40-piece band will be playing the kind of music we like to hear.
