WE, THE JUNIORS . . . We, the juniors, have been blessed with matchless teachers this year. Bro. Clement has proved the best comedian I ever saw. Bro. Albert may be an expert jugglerg he can't be compared to our home room teacher when it comes to comedy. just ask ours to dramatize one of Moliere's or Corneille's plays .... He would put Hope, Durante, and Skelton to shame! Our Junior year will not soon be forgotten. We will always remember that St. Dom's was the State Hockey Champ, that it had a great football team.f Of course, foremost in our souvenirs will be the best Prom ever to be organized in honor of any Senior Class. Raymond Comeau, '49 We, the juniors, are glad to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Brothers of the Sacred Heart to whom we are so much indebted. The influence of their personalities have enriched our lives in more than one way. They have shared our troubles, our joys, our games, and our toils. At all times, they stand ready to give a helping hand. We may never be able to repay them in a material way, but we will remember them and this beloved school as long as we live. Memories last a lifetime, but the memories of St. Dom's will live forever! Lucien Carrier, '49 I will always appreciate the fact that I transferred to St. Dom's this year. I believe those who have always gone to a Catholic school cannot appreciate it the way I do. Here the common friendliness has simply overwhelmed me, and I have found what religious teaching actually means in one's life. In some schools, studying may be optionalg here, you study or else .... I am getting better ranks than I ever had before. I came from twenty miles away to attend St. Dom'sg it was worth it! Jos. C. Brannigan, jr. '49 This third year of high school has proved the best so far. The subjects were tough, the periods were long, the teachers strict, yet we had a grand time. My classmates were the best I ever had. Our genial friend, Mr. Chouinard, for instance, turned many a dull day into a happy one. Why, even the Brothers could not resist his spontaneous sense of humor .... Many incidents will forever enrich my memory. One of them stands out very prominently among my many souvenirs. It happened a few days before Christmas when we had a party. We suddenly decided to have someone sing a song, and Horse Blais was drafted. Now, do you know Horse as a singer? . . . . Never try to find out . . . . He then tried to sing Alouette ! Even now when I think of it, I am laughing myself sick .... Yes, we had a grand time. This may sound foolish, but if I had to start this year over, I'd be glad to do it! Leo Proulx, '49 We, the Juniors of the Class of '49, are very proud of our achievements of this past year. We had more honor students than any other class, and we can boast of very good athletes. We are very grateful to our beloved teachers, Bro. Albert, Bro. Oliver, and Mr. Gibson, to whose persevering and patient efforts we owe our success. The little red brick school house on Bartlett St. may not be too boastful about its loutward appearanceg the teaching carried on within its humble walls can't e eat. We thank the Good Lord to have sent us two promising young humorists - they are also referred to as clowns - such as George and Roland. They should, however, have shown a little more respect to a veteran to whom they gave 21 bouncings on his 21st birthday .... Gerald Grenier, '49
