Undaunfed Spirit The Duketts of St. Columbkille's found it a little difficult to keep up to the pace of the Co-Dukes this year. However, throughout the whole basketball season they certainly did possess the paramount trait of sports- manship, for, eager to win, they went into every game fighting. and when they came out losers they were more determined than ever to do better the next time. That the girls improved is evident from the many well played games which were lost by only small margins. Xf X C o a c h Barbara Kane deserves much credit for her efforts in training the girls and helping them to keep up their dauntlesss enthusiasm. Among the Ducketts who will be missing next year are seniors Nlary Nieyer, who did an outstanding job as guard, with jeanette Schuster. Kath- leen Loes. Sally Thompson. Niarie Cannon. and Pauline Cassidy. as hard working helpers. Taking the graduates' places are several experienced juniors. As for- wards Evie Salz and Barbara Trapp have already shown their talent. while promising guards are Imelda Schuster, Kitty Purcell, and Nlillie McLaughlin. ,512
