1984 SPECTACULAR BRUADCAST This is Today, June 11, 1984, at the R.J.M.-TV Exhibition Hall in the heart of Metropolis. Good morning! This is your newscaster, Simone Pepin, bringing you the highlights of today's news. In Chicago, everyone is enthusiastically discussing the next presidential candidates. This afternoon Celine Descheneaux, Mayor of Sharon, Massachusetts, gave her views on the candidacy, and Jeannine Bourget presented a new set of resolutions to be adopted by the next administration. Pauline Laquerre has been busy taking pictures of the celebrities here, and Joyce Legare has been recording the main features of the convention with the aid of her secretaries, Frances Baillargeon and Jacqueline Trinque. Here to announce the names of the candidates in the race for the presidency of 1984 is Linda Lavallee, the famous columnist. It has been by popular vote that Priscille Tousig- nant and Gertrude Champagne are to be in political competition for president over the 88 states of these United States. ln Congress yesterday. Ambassador Noella Michaud, accompanied by her corres- ponding secretary, Rachel Henault, delivered an inspiring speech on the conditions of France which astounded the Vice President, Claire Bergeron, as well as the celebrated Governor of Colorado, Roseanna Smith. We interrupt this song to bring you a special bulletin. Oscar award winner for best actress of 1984 is Miss Lucille L'Esperance. As she received the award she calmly stated that she owed all of this to her producer, Sylvia Bruleg her director, Lucille Nantellg and her dramatic coach, Lucille Leclerc. For the kiddies today we have as a guest the President of the Donald Duck Fan Club, Sylvia Lussier. With her are Pauline Lupu, Pauline Nichols, and Doris Lavigne, writers and producers of her show. And now, before we start the second half of our show, 1 would like to remind you that if you want an evening of relaxation to make you feel young again, try dancing. Dancing is at its finest in Miss Gloria Adams and Miss Yvettes Bachandis studio which they inherited from the late Arthur Murray. Youill rumba, mambo, and jitterbug to the music of Annette Mason. C., as you know, is the former Miss Rose-Marie Gregoire from Woonsocket, Rhode Island, she was the winner of this great honor. She was accompanied by Cecile Cote, Superior of Jesus Mary convent in Woonsocketf, ln domestic affairs, we have word of the biggest crash on Wall Street since 1929. Gail Batcheller and Mary Kelley wrapped their 1984 Jaguar around a telegraph post, but neither was hurt. Greatest prize in contest history is awarded to Jeannette Moquin by Cecile Pelletier, the toast mistress of the S64,000,000,000 Question Show. Claire Blanchette, Senator from Arizona, has just been awarded the title of Chief Ya-ta-ta by the Cherokee nation for her outstanding orations. And now we turn to Frances Daniels for the local sports. 4'Rain, no game. Now go to California for the latest reports on the baseball game given by Claire Bissonnette. Lorraine Ayotte for the Salt Bowl game pitched a no hit, no run game lasting 22W minutes, the only one in baseball history. However, Umpire Louise Mar- cotte did not exactly praise this feat and had to be carried off the field by Nurses Jeannine Thibeault and Jeanne Moreau because of the sudden rise in her blood pres- sure. As climax of our show, I have invited the outstanding scientists of the country who have experience in space travel. Jeannine Goodreau, Suzanne Berard and Jeanne Mail- loux are the commanders of three different space stations. 4'Tell me, Commander Goodreau, what is the most popular spaceship used today?'7 The most popular and more widely used ship is the Silver Norbert invented by Professor Dorothy Nobert who made it out of pure silver. Now to acquaint you with space life we turn to Aileen Plasse in a little town called Greenland on the planet Mars. '4Hello, there! Out there!! This is a beautiful little town, typically Martian.
