Says MYRTLE TREPANIER, 'SO . . . The lovely clouds go sailing by Oh, how they float on through the sky! I'd like to know what makes them stay Up in the Stratosphere that way. I'l1 know . . . some day. Says ALMA ETHIER, '49 . . . I think of years gone by With thrills and blues, With joy and sniffles. I am a graduate . . . How I shall miss you all! In June I will leave you Who made my high school years The best that could have been. I'm at a loss of words to say How much I thank you all. Says PAULETTE BELHUMEER, '49 . . . QAbout her teacherj . . . Myriads of little stars Danced in her eyes, When she had scanned With little sighs My first attempt at poetry. Amonj O mon Jesus, quand chaque jour Tu viens a moi avec tendresse, Garde-moi bien dans ton amour, Afin que je t'aime sans cesse. THC onte Un soir, au clair de lune, Un enfant au coeur pur, Adressait une priere A Jesus, notre Frere. Et voici ce qu'il disait: O Jesus, oui je sais Que vous etes l'Enfant Dieu. Vous naquites dans un lieu D'une misere absolue, Car en cherchant par les rues, Marie votre bonne Mere, Et Joseph, votre Pere, Ne trouverent rien de mieux, Pour le grand Roi des Cieux Venu pour nous sauver. Says PAULETTE BELHUMEUR, '49 There used to be a haunted house Where once I lived, so long ago, With all its dark and dreary walls, It used to frighten people so . . . One day I had made up my mind To venture in and peak around. The cobwebs hung about the house And there was something else I found. I heard a cry that frightened me. I trembled, shook, and shivered. Oh! I turned around in time to see The ghost that frightened people so. The ghost had fur and whiskers short. It had a tail quite long and fat. So, I had met the gruesome ghost That simply was a harmless cat. esus du matin. Sois mon appui consolateur Dans les luttes, je t'en supplies, Enseigne-moi le vrai bonheur Que l'on goute en Toi, Pain de Vie!
