LOOKING IN AND LOOKING OUT Remember that September day a few years ago? It was the first day of school and we were enrolled as Freshmen at St. Clare's. As we entered the spacious grounds, didn't we gaze with awe at the austere- looking building and wonder what it would be like inside? Then, finally, we knew. We met our teachers, made new friends, and soon grew to look upon the school as our second home. There was never a dull mo- ment. Happiness, vexations, laughter, and tears came as a part of our every day routine. Then, all of a sudden, it was June. With happy hearts we left for a few months of vacation. Then, September again and the Sophomore and Junior years flew by and we found ourselves Seniors. With tear-dimmed eyes we,ll say farewell, and go out into a new world. What it will hold in store for each one of us, we do not know. But this we do know - that whatever path in life we may choose, we will always be proud to be called graduates of St. Clare's',. There will always be in our hearts a place for our beloved Alma Mater. Claire F. Morel, '49.
