Shevy Calnan Senior Play of 1960 Stag Line The Senior play, Stag Line, went over with a big success. The lead was taken by Shevawn Calnan, followed up by a fabulous cast. Much more goes into a play besides the cast. The play was a success because of the many people who worked back stage to make it so. Of course, no play at S.C.H.S. could be a success without the help of Miss Travis, our director. Saundra Marks Julieann Yeip was her helper as Alex Drabant student director. Besides the 1960 court and queen, there were many queens from years before. Some senior girls played the parts of the queens from the roaring 20’s and rode in a jeep along with the rest of the actual queens from 1949-1958 in beautiful cars. Miss Shevawn Calnan, the queen, was crowned by John Preston, a senior foot- ball player, and the local jeweler, donated a watch for the queen. 47 Miss Linda Robbins, Senior Attendant Miss Virginia Cremers, Junior Attendant Miss Kathy Wills, Freshman Attendant C a 1 n a iT a n d i n d a 1 C a sea d d ' SUC B ° Ulier ’ Virginia Cremers Linda Robbins, Sharon Shafran, Queen Shevawn s n a a n c e 48 Junior Play Is this really the girls’ dressing room? Monday morning, they arrived in Washington, D.C. after an all night ride on the train. The week was spent seeing all the sights in Washington. The first two games were probably our greatest loss because in those games the fellows lost a lot of spirit, but they never lost their will to win. It takes a lot of courage to stay with a losing team; next year we hope it to be different. Reserve Cheerleaders Center: Linda Carman, Captain. First Row: Ruth Ann Ross, and Jackie Little. Second Row: Carol Figley and Kathy Wills. Third Row: Jeanne Campbell and Judy English. 59 Varsity Cheerleaders This years cheerleaders appeared in new uniforms which the squad earned themselves. This feat has never been matched in the history of the St. Clair area league. Splendid teamwork, a compelling desire to win, and hustle were the keys to the Saints big success. This year’s squad will go down in history as one of the best teams that the blue water area has ever seen. 63 Reserve Coach Alley 9th Grade Basketball Kneeling: D. Wulff, T. Oles, D. Schlaff, B.
