Q . .. . . --1 - .-1 ..-4 - FUUTBHLL SUHUPSIS SEPTEMBER 15 B fore a larg crowd of che r1ng fans our St Clair team met Capac for their first game of th season At the kick off Ha ler receixed the ball and went for an 80 yard run the f1rstSt C1a1r touchdown of the 1950 eason The team then sent Boulier and Frantz over for two more T D Beach followed through with two more Hasler s extra point made it 31 6 SEPTEMBER ZZ Keepmg up with the same spirit and team work the team met Marysville for their second game The team with the coaches and fans be hind them overpowered Mary ville w1th qu1te a sausfactory score Gearmg Beach and McWa1n Went over for the T D and two of I-Iasler s extra points were good SEPTEMBER Z9 In h1gh hopes of another victory we followed the team to Richmond The team played good football but just didn t seem to have that all lmportant punch to overpower the Blue DCV1lS The Richmond team took the game and the final score was 13 0 OCTOBER 6 After the1r first defeat the Saint ' returned to meet Holy Cross The team disgusted about losing to Richmond was determined to beat Holy Cross B111 Beaudua and Dan Beach went over for the two T D and made this game another win for St Clair One of Hasler extra polnts were good making it 13 7 OCTOBER 13 This time we journeyed to Algonac for their home coming were unable to getthrough for those much desired T D The Algonac team took the game 12 O OCTOBER 19 Following team to St Stephens we hoped for another victory after our defeat from Algonac In the first half it looked like St Stephens game but in the second half the St Clairteam came back to make the1r showing Don Leach came through for the first T D then Beach came through with two more Gearing caught the pass for an extra polnt making lt 19 12 OCTOBER Z7 Despite the snow and rain we followed our team to Marine City to witness a hard fought battle between the two teams In the field of mud and water fumbles occurred ve ry often during the game and both teams found It v ry difficult to play the football of which they were able The St Clair team had to fight for every yard they received and then sent Beach over for that all 1mportantT D ending the game with a 6 6 t1e T1e1ng the game St Clairkept the b ll awarded to them in 1949 by Finsterwalds NOVEMBER 3 For the last league game of the 1950 season our team met New Baltimore on our home field Even though the weather was cold the team supported by th cheering fans and the faith the coaches had in them made the la t game in a v1ctory Gearing and Boulier went over for the lst two T D Then Hasler and Beach went over for two ap1ece Gearing caught the pass for an extra point making it 36 13 For an exhibition game we journeyed to Crowswell to play Crowswcll Lexington ln the bitter cold we saw a rough tough battle between the two teams The St Clair team was overpowered by their opponents Hasler made the lone T D and the final score was Z7 6 St Clair took second place in the final standings They won 6 lost Z tied 1 Their total points 132 to their opponents 95 47 . , 5 1 . . - S . v s .
