Seniors looked oh, so huge, and we felt so tiny. But soon it was June, and we were sophisticated sophomores. lt was this year that we organized our class. Tradition goes that sophomores are the forgotten class, but we made a big hit with our magazine campaign. Months rolled by quickly, and we became upperclassmen. As juniors we welcomed the new jointure students, and with their help we chose our class motto, colors, and flower, a-nd also sold chances on war bonds. The most important event in our junior year was our Prom, held on May 22, l959, in the Carroll Street Auditorium. Things were reversed, freshmen looked up to us and addressed us ac- cordingly. ln a short time, football and basketball rallies were over forever. The important event in our senior year was the Hop held on December 19, l959. The last assembly touched many a hard heart. We knew at last why seniors cried, we were no longer students, but alumni. Life has much to offer, and we will face it with all we learned at our school. Now we, the seniors, want to thank all our teachers, advisors, and class- mates for helping to make the past four years four of the happiest years of our lives. We are sorry to leave, and yet proud that we will be graduates of St. Clair High School.
