May this dedication express the feeling we have in our hearts for him, a feeling whose expression in words is impossible. PICTURE HELEN G. PRATT THOMAS L. JENNINGS Thank You Thank you, Mr. Evans, for taking such a deep interest in the class of 6O's meetings and worthwhile interests, such as the Prom, the Hop, and our magazine campaigns. Our success came through the help of your advising. Thank you, Mrs. Pratt, for -being an interested class advisor and helping us with our profitable candle sales project. We also would like to express our thanks to you for helping to make our Junior Prom a success. Thank you, Mr. Jennings, for taking an added interest in our graduat- ing class and in helping to make our Clairian the best ever. Bodenhorn To Dear old Saint Clair High School This ringing song we raise, A song that's filled with gladness, A song that's filled with praise, We cannot help but love thee, Our hearts are full of thee, For well we know the debt we owe To Alma Mater Dear. We came to you as freshmen, Our hearts were young and free, You took us and you taught us Better citizens to be, And now that we are leaving Our thoughts are all of thee, We'll cherish and adore thee, Our Alma Mater Dear. Seniors looked oh, so huge, and we felt so tiny. But soon it was June, and we were sophisticated sophomores. lt was this year that we organized our class. Tradition goes that sophomores are the forgotten class, but we made a big hit with our magazine campaign. Months rolled by quickly, and we became upperclassmen. As juniors we welcomed the new jointure students, and with their help we chose our class motto, colors, and flower, a-nd also sold chances on war bonds. The most important event in our junior year was our Prom, held on May 22, l959, in the Carroll Street Auditorium. Things were reversed, freshmen looked up to us and addressed us ac- cordingly. ln a short time, football and basketball rallies were over forever. The important event in our senior year was the Hop held on December 19, l959. The last assembly touched many a hard heart. We knew at last why seniors cried, we were no longer students, but alumni. Life has much to offer, and we will face it with all we learned at our school. Now we, the seniors, want to thank all our teachers, advisors, and class- mates for helping to make the past four years four of the happiest years of our lives. We are sorry to leave, and yet proud that we will be graduates of St. Clair High School. JOSEPH T. Treasurer -q W- Charles Narcdko Flower: White carnation Advisors: Miss Monahan and Mr. Welker unior Class We have reached our junior year, and with it has come the necessity of once more electing officers, and selecting the class flower, colors, and motto. To most of us this is a year of great expectations. In scholastic achievementsland sports there will be keen competition for honors, while the highlight of the spring season will be the junior prom. Our class has been very busy raising funds to help defray the expenses of the senior year, and the spirit of cooperation between our advisors, Miss Monahan and Mr. Welker, and the members of the class, has been excellent. For many of us this year will pass all too quickly, and our last year of high school will arrive with all of its problems, not the least of which will be to work on our Clairian. To all seniors we extend best wishes for future success and good fortune.
