We, the senior class of l959, realize this as we prepare to leave our school days behind us. Some of us may continue school, some may enter the military service, some may go into the medical field, some into other professions and occupations, but no matter what we do or where we go, nothing will compare to our high school days. The l959 Clairian will help us remember these days. ln these pages we will find our teachers, friends, activities, and accomplishments. After graduation we step into a new life with all its oppor- tunities and responsibilities. We feel that we are prepared to enter this new life because of the able guidance of our teachers, and we know that without the help of God, the greatest of all friends and teachers, none of this would be possible. ffwxxu fd 'Wwr xl fm llll r' If if ' lf. We came to you as freshmen, Uur hearts were young and free, You took us and you taught us Better citizens to beg And now that We are leaving Our thoughts are all of thee, We'll cherish and adore thee, Our Alma Mater Dear. 6 i 5 ..,. 3 xi I ij! Our Sophomore year began with a class meeting at which time we chose our colors, flower, and motto. We elected class officers and began our high school career. Our Junior year was emphasized by the Prom, held on May 23, 1958, with music provided by Horace Richards. We also had several successful money raising campaigns. As Seniors, we have achieved the goal we had aimed for as Freshmen. The important event of our Senior year was the Frosty Frolic held on Dec- ember 27, 1958. We are exceedingly proud of our year book, and wish to thank all those who have worked so diligently to help us to make it a success. We are well prepared to leave our beloved halls of Saint Clair High School, and to enter into our future life. To the faculty and advisers who have given tireless efforts in develop- ing our education and helping us in every possible way, we extend our deepest gratitude. Colors - Gold and White Flower - White Rose Advisers - Mrs. Helen Pratt and Mr. David Evans Ifsfory Organized in our sophomore year by our advisors, Mrs. Helen Pratt and Mr. David Evans, we immediately showed our ability by soaring over the goal of our magazine campaign. As juniors we welcomed the new jointure students, and with their help we chose our class motto, flower, and colors, and sold chances on war bonds. We are eagerly looking forward to our Spring Prom, which will mark our last Junior achievement and the first step of our reign as Seniors. -38 unfor Class First Row: Carol Martin, Flleanor llimmerling, Hannah Marie Mihalko, ,Ioa1nneMcMenamin, Marie llemchick, Patty Smith, June Kimmel, lletty llcrman, Ardell llonicker, Arlene Hulbert, Patsy Wiydu, joseph llnffvy.
