Our sophomore year was launched by a class meeting at which time officers were elected, and the class flower, colors, and motto chosen. Our class began to participate in school and extra-curricular activities. Slowly but surely our class achieved recognition in scholarship,-athletics, and the various clubs. Setting a precedent for other classes to follow, We held the traditional junior Prom on May 6, 1955. The combined effect of the music of Scoop Felsburg's Orchestra and the beautiful decorations made it a most enjoyable affair. This, our senior year, marks the peak of our achievement in high school. The Sen- ior Hop, held on Thanksgiving with Scoop Felsburg and His Orchestra furnishing the music, was another outstanding and memorable event. Work on the Clairian had al- ready begun, with everyone cooperating in an effort to make it a true example of our ability. As we prepare to leave the halls of S. C. H. S., we look to the future with confi- dence and assurance of attaining success, due to the guidance and understanding of our faculty. May we express our deepest gratitude to them and all others who have made our education possible. 12
